Mr. Boland was born a block from the capitol in downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico. He attended Santa Fe High School where he graduated in 1994, in the top five percent of his class. Following high school he attended San Francisco Art Institute and then Occidental College, where he graduated Cum Laude, with distinction in Sociology and a double major in Fine Art. After college, Mr. Boland worked in environmental protection with a non-profit in Washington, D.C.

During law school at the University of Arizona, Mr. Boland excelled at his first opportunity in criminal law with the Pima County Public Defender’s Office in Tucson, AZ. This is where he began his career in trial practice.

After passing the Oregon Bar Exam in 2003, he worked in criminal defense for the Harris Law Firm, and then at the Metropolitan Public Defender’s Office in Portland, Oregon, before starting his own business in 2006.

Mr. Boland moved home to Santa Fe in 2008, where he continues to run his own legal practice, specializing in criminal defense and civil litigation.

With a strong litigation background, he has aggressively represented clients when they are injured in an accident, charged with a crime, or wrongfully subjected to police misconduct. Mr. Boland has represented thousands of clients through the complicated legal process, and has won numerous jury trials.
